In a second meeting against the Detroit Mechanix this season, the Indianapolis AlleyCats (4-1, 4-1 Midwest Division) won its third straight game, 31-21.
The AlleyCats began the game on offense and made the most of it. On the first point, Rick Gross made an in-cut towards the disc while Cameron Brock ran deep to the end zone. Gross threw the disc but it trailed out-of-bounds. Not to worry, Brock managed to jump and threw the disc back into play. Eventually, Brock scored the first point. The catch is called “Greatest” and it was the first for the AlleyCats this season.
At the end of the first quarter, the AlleyCats led, 11-6. They never looked back and led the entire game. At halftime, the score was 19-13 in favor of the AlleyCats.
Eventually, the AlleyCats won their second game against Detroit and third in a row. They will try to keep the winning streak alive as they end the road trip against Pittsburgh Thunderbirds. The game starts at 4 p.m. on May 6 at Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field.
